Most short stories about djinn show the problems humans have when they get three wishes, whether they are used for good or for greed.
But what if you didn't want anything? What's a poor genie to do? This short story has one possibility...
An Arabian Night Nazin Dream edition by Garon Whited Children eBooks
This is a wonderful book that subtly describes the various natures of men. In a very short story, the author is able to depict the meaning of love, greed, duplicity and desperation. Written in a formal style, that sounds like a classic novel, which clearly portrays settings as well as characters’ emotions, the book can be read in fifteen minutes but will stay in memory far longer. The author creates minimal but memorable characters and two of them I find very endearing. To say that the ending is surprising is, for me, an understatement because I can say it is dumbfounding that I had to reread a few paragraphs back to fully comprehend what happened. Needless to say I enjoyed this short book a lot.

An Arabian Night Nazin Dream edition by Garon Whited Children eBooks Reviews
This was a quick read but the impact is much larger than its page count. Nazin's only wish is something even a mighty djinn cannot fathom. But a debt must be repaid.
Overall, this was an interesting read and reminded me a bit of Aladdin. A big difference though, Jasmine from Aladdin is amazing, while Nazin’s love interest here is shallow and I can’t understand what he sees in her.
Being a less than twenty-page book, it is hard to go into too many details without giving the plot away. Nazin is likable, aside from the obsessive love he has for a woman who won’t return it. The genie is also likable and seems like he genuinely wants to help Nazin.
The ending was extremely interesting and left me hanging. I can make my own conclusions as to what happened, but I kind of wanted a confirmation.
I would recommend this read to those who enjoy short reads and about genies.
This was one very nice and thoughtful story. Surprisingly deep, it delves into the true meaning of love and is probably the best short story i have ever read.
I liked this short story very much, I enjoyed the use of language, and of images along the story )
A story of love that outdid greed. This reads like an Arabian Night. What happens when love is one sided and the other is not worthy of being loved? This story answers that question.
The short story of Nazin's Dream was beautifully written. I enjoyed reading his story. I highly recommend this short book.
Tale as old as time twisted in a dark, smouldering wonderful manner. So true, and yet so fantastical. What is one to do
